From the CWA Convention(8/8/17)

The court also ruled that CNN is a successor employer and obligated to recognize NABET-CWA Locals 51011 and 52031 in New York and Washington, D.C., as the workers’ bargaining representative. NABET-CWA President Charlie Braico told delegates that it might take time, but "when we fight we win.

On Trump's NLRB Nominees

  • The National Labor Relations Board is important because its members’ actions have real consequences for working people.
  • Marvin Kaplan, the first of Trump’s nominees, knows nothing of labor law, having only written anti-worker legislation to rig America’s economic rules for billionaires.
  • William Emanuel, Trump’s other choice, has spent his career at one of America’s most infamous anti-union law firms.
  • The Senate must scrutinize these nominees, asking them tough questions about possible conflicts of interest and their qualifications for these important jobs.
