Tell WHUT That We Expect Better!

Please click here to send a message to WHUT General Manager demanding that they be reinstated.

Your NABET-CWA membership continues to support the efforts to reinstate the Howard 4, who were unfairly fired during contract negotiations. As a result, members of Local 31 and CWA have been informationally picketing in front of WHUT-TV at Howard University.

Unfortunately nothing has moved the station from its insistence that it was well within its rights.

As part of the support for the Howard 4, we ask that you send an e-mail to WHUT-TV General Manager Jefferi K.Lee reminding WHUT management and Howard University "We Expect Better!"

Ask any and everybody you know to send an e-mail to the General Manager of WHUT supporting our effort to get them reinstated. Please post the lower potion of the request to you Facebook page. Share it with your friends.  Come out and support us in our informational picket on Thursdays in front of WHUT Channel 32, 2222 4th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. If you can participate or want to help, please contact Carrie Biggs-Adams cbiggs-adams@cwa-union.org (202) 415-1147.

Please join us to tell Howard University that: "We Expect Better!"  Please forward to broaden our reach and increase our numbers!

Supporters of the “Howard Four” are stepping up their campaign against the recent firing of four workers. On July 3rd WHUT-TV fired four of its six union represented technicians, just one week after the group had rejected their contract offer. Join members of NABET-CWA (National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians - Communications Workers of America, Local 52031), students (who are just now returning to campus), and the Metro DC Labor Community at weekly Thursday pickets to tell WHUT-TV "we expect better!"  Parking is important. We do want to park on the west side of the street closest to the HUT building. Plan to be a few minutes early and try to park as a group.
